An interesting day jockeying cars and six
participants around a very flooded West Rutland
Marsh today for Rutland County Audubon's monthly
monitoring walk. A total of 15 species were
tallied (compared to 14 a year ago).
Of note were red-tailed hawk (3), peregrine
falcon (1) and northern shrike (1) hunting along
Marble Street among the usual white-breasted
nuthatches, black-capped chickadees, blue jays,
American goldfinches, etc.
All Rutland County Audubon field trip sightings
reported to eBird!
