One of our physicians is setting up a program to use retired physician
volunteers to act as sort-of "good-will" ambassadors with patients in
the hospital. The idea is to visit them, see how their care is going,
what we can do better, etc.; not to interfere, but assist.
Is anyone aware of other hospitals doing something similar? I've done a
fairly extensive Medline search and not found much. Please reply to me
directly. Thanks!
