Ski Team Volunteers at 2006 Women's Day at Trapp Family Lodge
BURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of Vermont Ski Team volunteered to
teach ski lessons at the New England Nordic Ski Association's 2006
Women's Day at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vt., on Sunday, Feb. 12.
Proceeds from the benefit went to the Clarina Howard Nichols Center,
which serves women in Lamoille County who have been battered or
sexually assaulted.
The event included a day of cross-country skiing for women. The clinic
was for first time skiers and intermediate skiers, in both the
classical and skating technique. Instructors included former Olympic
skiers, U.S. National team skiers and collegiate skiers including
current Catamounts.
The event was organized by former Catamount and Olympian Trina Hosmer
