Today I hiked in toward the Connecticut River on the trail from stebbins road. Birds seen along the trail included Red-bellied Woodpecker, 25 Robins, 15 Cedar Waxwings, 2 Tree Sparrows. On the river itself, the female Barrow's Goldeneye was still present in with a tight flock of 36 Common Goldeneye's, but only 1 Hooded Merganser was present. Above the dam: 1 Common Merganser, 2 Common Goldeneye's.   Taj Schottland. Putney
