Barbara-

Great question and one I field regularly. I too submit data to 

feederwatch.  Although technically the two databases could easily 

work together in a large analysis, they do collect data in a 

different manner. Feederwatch data is the high count of each species 

at your feeder over a two day period. While eBird collects data at 

the most on a day long count. It does not allow for multiple day 

count, but rather would take the data as two separate checklists on 

two different days. I enter my feeder data in both databases and I 

would recommend that others do too. It only takes me a couple of 

minutes and that way we have all the Vermont data we can get in one database.
