This morning, while checking out a large flock of goldeneyes (50+) and an
even larger flock of common mergansers (200+) swimming off of Vantine's Access
in Grand Isle, I spotted a pair of tufted ducks (1 male; 1 female) in the
crowd. The birds move about quite actively here, so if you go looking for the
tufted ducks be sure to scan as much of the open water between the Grand isle
ferry and Adam's Landing as possible.
