Just south of Proctor, I observed today, (02.22.06), a gathering of Canadian
Geese in the order of 250 birds within the Otter Creek and on the adjacent
meadow. Among them was a single Snow Goose. A month ago, (01.16.06), I
observed, what appears to be in retrospect, the same flock of Canadians with the
Solitary Snow Goose. Several postings from Shelburne Bay about a month ago
also noted a gathering of Canada Geese in about the same numbers along with a
solitary Snow Goose. The question arises, is this the same flock commuting
between these two localities? It would appear so.
