Are interested in Japanese culture? Do you crave to learn more about
Japanese things in general? Well then, the Japanese House in the
Living/Learning Center is the place for you! Here at the Japanese
House, Japanese students and Japanese enthusiasts live together (suite
style) and participate in various events ranging from weekly movie
nights (every Friday @ 5:30pm) to taiko workshops to sushi parties.
The purpose of this program is to encourage learning more about
Japanese culture beyond language...and food. If you're interested in
any of the above (and much more) and if you're a current student at
UVM, apply to the Japanese House. Applications are online and priority
applications are due on Friday, March 17. Students who are taking
Japanese classes are encouraged to apply, and student who aren't can
still apply so long as they express interest in Japanese culture.
The Japanese House will be apart of the Global Village next year in
B-building.
