I've had several such devices :
1. Overall, I'm happiest with my Palm TX. Wireless, bluetooth,
synchronization, etc. (Though I still synchronize via cable)
2. I was happy, but not as much so, with my Dell Windows CE. It tries
too much to be like a computer, and the "filing" system was a mess.
Eventually, it got clogged up and ground to a halt, and then
eventually died. I chose not to upgrade it.
3. I was also happy, sort of, with my Sony Clie. It's a Palm OS
device, but with (too many) Sony Customizations. I got it at a
bargain basement price when it was going off the market. Synching
was a real mess on the Macintosh (you need a MissingSync program to
pickup where this machines leaves off.)
My favorite of all time, however, was the original Palm Pro. The
battery management was much better - since it had AAA batteries that
lasted over a month, and were replacable anywhere. (The battery times
on the color machines is not very good at all, and when the batteries
die, you get a clean slate :( )
I suspect that my next PDA will be a Cell Phone, Camera, Video,
browser, etc. I have a Motorola 851 (?) from Verizon, but Verizon has
"configured" it to be much less than ideal.
