I'm eating crow, figuratively speaking. After our discussion of the
Murin/Pfeiffer book, I decided to buy the book and examine it more
critically. I will admit that it is everything you folks said it was.
I have been working in Victory Bog for 18 years and so that was the
first place I looked when I picked up the book. Given the site's
importance, I do think it's account was poorly done. It failed to
mention specifically point out the four excellent walking trails and
roads that permit a much better opportunity for quality birding. Much
better than walking the road. BTW, I have maps of the area with these
trails identified that I will make available.
All that said, I reviewed many of the sites and found they were well
described and more detailed than my cursory glance had earlier
indicated. I wish I had purchased the book earlier. A must buy.
