Saturday morning yielded some interesting waterfowl viewing at Button
Bay State Park overlook. The following species were seen:
Ring-necked Duck (10)
Hooded Merganser (2)
Northern Pintail (6)
Also, a flock of about 100 Scaup, many Common Goldeneye scattered
about, and 4 Bald Eagles. Both Potash Bay and Oven Bay are still
frozen over. Two Bald Eagles were seen on the ice at Potash Bay.
Finally, at the Goose viewing area at dead creek, Horned Larks, 2
Northern Harriers, and a Rough-legged Hawk were seen.
