The female RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER that I reported last week has now visited my
feeders daily for the last 8 days. I keep hoping a male will show up. (She
probably does too!)
A small flock of AMERICAN ROBINS passed through my yard today, the first of the
season, and RED-WING BLACKBIRDS have been here since Sunday. (Seems I'm always
the last to report new arrivals up here in Fairfax!) I still had about 20
COMMON REDPOLLS this morning. It occurred to me that the robins and the
redpolls probably don't often cross paths.
