Our Microsoft SE sent this article to me this morning. It is titled
"Why Vista Won't Suck" (note that it is not titled "Why Vista Will
Rock"). It is a pretty good high-level review of the major changes
between XP and Vista, and how they will improve the Windows user experience.
I particularly like their screenshots of the Aero-glass interface.
Since the VM I am using to run Vista beta cannot be said to have
"cutting edge" graphics capabilities, my installation of Vista does not
look anywhere near that cool. It is also nice to see that more drivers
are moving out of kernel space and into user mode. This means fewer
reboots and fewer dreaded "blue screens of death".
