I attempted to startup blogging and podcasting on my xserve and could
not get user blog pages to show even though the web server was
running....and after wrestling/researching for a while I read about
some kind of conflict when trying to activate blogging while
Filemaker Server is running on the same machine... Has anyone out
there run across or solved this conflict??

I was just experimenting with this on OS X 10.4.5 server. Turn on
the web server and turn on WebBlogs when you do. Done. Create a
user or group and then go to the blog site and you can make them a
blog, it's ridiculously quick and simple. Management is cake and you
can even run podcasts through it as well. Good news is that you'll
host it local so your admin account can manage all the blogs and any
associated files. It will even wrap the RSS feeds for you. And you
can throttle band with on the file you provide and since it's local
you wont clog up your bandwidth. Very slick.
Did I mention that this is ridiculously easy, even your teachers can
figure it out let alone your grade schoolers? ;P
