This might be accomplished using a desktop machine and IDE drive adapters...
I am using an older version of Ghost (7.x?) and have often done single
"local" imaging by hooking a second drive to a desktop machine, booting from
the Ghost floppy disk and copying drive-to-drive. I have used an adapter to
save a backup image of a customized notebook to CD-R, and don't see why you
couldn't hook two laptop drives to a desktop motherboard and copy
drive-to-drive in the same way.... Maybe?
