An 8th grader at Walden School has set up Ubuntu on one of our older PCs
(an IBM 300GL). However, the performance is quite slow. We think the
problem is that there's not enough RAM. It currently has 2-32MB DIMMs.
It can take up to 2-128MB DIMMs. I wonder if anyone has some old RAM
around they'd be willing to donate - 2 64MB or 1 or 2 128MB modules:
"3.3V 100MHz unbuffered SDRAM DIMMs - be sure not to use high density
RAM" (according to one reference I've seen).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
