We would leave the patient on the stretcher and call for non-urgent
transport to the hospital (wheelchair van). We had one patient with a
PFO who had been experiencing TIA's. We called for an emergency
transport ASAP.

Occasionally, if no other option was available. The patient was
instructed to not put any weight on the positive limb in transferring
