Thanks Morris and Joe for the comments. I was familiar with the work using bubbles and clot lytics with or without ultrasound. I was not as familiar with Dr. Alexandrov's work. However, I have not found anything paralleling what seems to me to be the critical factor in Dr. Syme's work. That is, the ability to use ultrasound to identify the area of clotting (what Dr. Syme calles "Small Vessel Knock") and to interactively direct energy to the target area until the clot resolves. Anyone know of other reports of this approach?
