At our yard in Rutland, Vermont, we feel a bit of a loss, although it is
bittersweet. April 27, 2006 was the last day we saw the Cape May Warbler,
after 155 days of his constant presence. We assume that he has started his
northern journey to the breeding grounds of the boreal forests. We feel
fortunate to have shared our yard with such a magnificent bird. And yes,
we are a bit sad, but glad that he has begun yet a new journey.
