We missed most of that (though we think we spotted semi-palmated
plovers on the mud flats near the island), but we got a really nice
look at a green heron (best look I, personally, have ever had of one):

There were also blue herons far out in the water, some orioles, a
brown thrasher and several varieties of sparrow.
