Sorry for the non-VT post but -
Just got back from a business trip to Miami which of course included some
birding time. I concentrated on the Miami exotics and a couple of the local
regular birds, and found most of my targets including -
- Spot-breasted Oriole
- "Cuban" Yellow Warbler
- 5 species of Psittacids
- 2 Myna species
- Purple Swamphen
- Bronzed Cowbird
- Mangrove Cuckoo
- 6 species of Doves
Anyone interested in a brief trip summary send me a note off-list.
P.S. Ironically, Miami was extremely hot (90's) and bone dry! The locals
couldn't remember a time when it was that dry. Maybe we could share some of
our New England weather...
