Hi VTBIRDers, Hector Galbraith and I just got back from an amazing birding trip that combined California (coast and interior) as well as Southeastern Arizona. It was a two week trip from April 28 to May 13. Our trip list topped 290 species! Highlights included Arctic Loon (under review on the listserv ID frontiers) Common Black Hawk, Zone-tailed Hawk, Montezuma Quail, Whiskered Screech-Owl, White-eared Hummingbird, Buff-breasted Flycatcher, Thick-billed Kingbird, Mexican Chickadee, Rufous-backed Robin, Crissal Thrasher, Olive Warbler, Flame-colored Tanager, Yellow-eyed Junco, Tri-colored Blackbird, Lawrence's Goldfinch and California Gnatcatcher. If birders are interested in getting more details on our trip such as our itinerary or suggestions on getting certain target birds we saw, feel free to email Hector at [log in to unmask] or contact me at [log in to unmask] Taj Schottland.
