A single red-necked phalarope (not red phalorope) was in the flooded fields along Route 73 west of Brandon today. It was with a few solitary sandpipers, least sanpipers, and several white-rumped sandpipers. Other good birdathon sightings included a pair of white-winged scoters at Lapham Bay and a high flying, calling, upland sandpiper along Park Hill Road SW of Benson.
