A green heron was observed from the nature trail
behind Diamond Run Mall in Rutland this morning.
This is the third year in a row one or more green
herons have been at this same spot. Hmmmm...
21 species were tallied including two
chestnut-sided warblers, two yellow warblers and
one black-and-white warbler, all very vocal, as
well as two wood thrushes and two catbirds.
White-throated sparrows were also much in
evidence.
