Hi Martha,

Don't be upset, but I'm afraid those are Northern Pearly Eyes. Check out 
the spot pattern, the post median line (thickish) and the white flash on 
the underside of the forewing, emanating from the post-median line (near 
the leading edge of the wing). Also note the scallopy look to the margins 
of the hind wings. Not an uncommon mistake.
