Thanks, Martha (alas, no relation).

I'm using a Canon 20D with a 100mm macro lens (and Canon Speelight 580 
flash) for most of my insect images. But those two butterfly images came 
with my trusted old Nikon Coolpix 4500. It's astonishing what that camera 
can do. Sadly, they're no longer in production. But I suspect many newer 
point-and-shoot digital cameras perform even better. I saw a credit-card 
sized (almost) Pentax last week that generated some amazing images.
