As the fall semester begins, Computing & Information Technology (CIT)
is changing some operating hours and locations to improve services
for students, faculty, and staff. Priority over the next few days
will go toward helping students get the semester off to a good start.

On Friday, August 25, in collaboration with UVM Libraries, the School
of Business Administration and Residential Life, and with the
generous participation of student, faculty and staff move-in
volunteers, we'll be distributing 650+ new computers, as well as
helping students with a variety of computing needs. You will find
skeletal crews in Academic Computing Services, Administrative
Information Systems, Client Services, the Computer Depot, Computer
Operations, Network Services, the CIT Business Office, and the
Technical Support Group.

Next week, the drop-in Computer Depot Clinic will be relocated to
residence halls, and CIT and UVM Libraries will team up to offer
computing help afternoons in Bailey-Howe Library.

There's more. For a full list of service changes, please see:

Thank you for your understanding as we set aside several key days to
help students begin the academic year successfully. Best wishes to
all for a productive and rewarding fall semester. Please share this
information with your colleagues who may be looking for us Friday and
next week.
