Hello All -
I am working with a Vermont supervisory union (Orange East) that is
planning a major 'Web 2.0' expansion with the creation of faculty and
student websites, blogs, wikis and other tools. All of our existing
Acceptable Use Policy documents were created a few years ago in a 'Pull
and Read' rather 'Write and Push' web world.
Has anyone redrafted their Use Policy to account for student and
faculty publishing issues? Some of the issues we are discussing are:
- Copyright - who owns created works, Creative Commons copyrights,
school-supported, cyber-publishing opportunities
- parental access to these systems
If anyone has had these discussions already and has a AUP (or draft)
that addresses these issues, I would be quite interested in seeing it
if you can share it.
