Hey, Kent said Wed. was going to be the BIG monarch migration day in
VT - so Thurs they were streaming through NY! Right Kent???

My last M chrysalis took air on Wed. BUT, lo and behold, I found a
5th instar yesterday, Thurs, on some still relatively 'fresh'
milkweed in a twice mowed field. I 'collected' it and it began
immediately securing the 'button'. S/he'll be a late migrant
emerging in 16-18 days making it an Oct 14-16 migrant.

I also have a black swallowtail spinning its chrysalis. Any advise
about overwintering this????

Ruth
