Hi darling dears

Question of the day! What do you say to Snoop Dog when he gives you a
sweater?

Everyone had a good Thanksgiving "affirmed"

If anyone is interested in doing some schtuff before the semester is
over here ya go:
-Phone-a-thon for COTS Monday 12/4 at 5 (e-mail the outing club
president [log in to unmask])
-Phone-a-thon for the Vermont Campaign to end childhood Hunger
Wednesday 12/6 at 5 pm (e-mail me [log in to unmask])
-knitting hats and scarves for gifts for people at COTS this Sunday at
3 (e-mail Elise [log in to unmask])

Lots of other ideas:
-Holly talked about an organization called Stand Strong Again to raise
money for professional athletes who suffered severe spinal cord
injuries who are having trouble paying their medical bills. It was
started by a man who used to be an incredible skier. We would somehow
incorporate ourselves into the org by perhaps asking businesses to put
a link from their website
-We threw a lot of ideas around about some "lasting" projects for the
beautiful HCol and an oppurtunity for the Honors College to have a
stronger identity, perhaps something weekly perhaps a big HC event
perhaps pick one social issue and address it every year, or pick a
theme for a whole year, or perhaps have a scholarship merit or need
based, or maybe a scholarship for traveling and volunteering abroad or
perhaps habitat for humanity, or perhaps a weekend retreat for
community service.

We probably won't have a meeting again this semester so please we
have a lot to "chew on" as Joy says and we shall discuss over the
listserv!

Answer of the day: Gee, you knit?

Lots of love,
Carrie Nichols McLane
