I've been out of the office most of today, but I did speak to one of my
colleagues who knows the Peace Corps Country Director for Nicaragua and
will set you up with a meeting when you visit. I will also ask that
they alert the Assistant Director for Water and Sanitation.

Again, the idea behind this is just to get a sense of what's going on
water-wise in Nicaragua, and make some contacts that could be
indispensable when you go down for the project in the summer. They can
also help with stakeholder consultation and technology appropriateness
questions.

Will you have a chance to visit Burlington's Nicaragua sister city,
Puerto Cabezas, while you're there? Is this a connection to make here
in Vermont?

I'll send along some links of resources tomorrow for planning and design
of water systems.

Best,

Margaret
