My area continues to be visited daily by various Bald Eagles. Today a
third individual is sitting in the same tree in the farm field across
the road, this one a first-plumage adult, with some dusky feathers on
the back of the head and nape, and an irregular dusky terminal band on
the tail tip.
A couple of ice-fishing shacks have been set up on the Lemonfair River
in the valley, so it must be that activity that's drawing the eagles
here, although their favored tree is a good half mile from the river.
