Has any one been to Moose Bog since last weeks storm. We are planning to go this weekend if the parking area on South America Pond Road is plowed. Does anyone know if there is access? Also, please let me know if you had any luck with seeing Crossbills, Black-backed Woodpecker, Three-toed Woodpecker, or Boreal Chickadees in the last week.
On another note: I have been watching a pair of Red-tails buildiong a nest just behind our house (CT) the last two days. What I observed was that both parties are participating in the gathering of branches they are breaking off living deciduous tree limbs. Excited to think about what the next several months will bring to my birding enjoyment if they stick to it and the nest is successful!
Finally, I have just finished revamping the Bird pages on my web site and have posted some new images. It would be helpful if some of you who have dial-up would take a look http://www.wildshots.net/Birds.html so that I can get an idea of the load time for pages. Please feel free to provide feed back. If the format of Bird pages works out/proves to be user friendly, I will rework the Plants and Animals pages.
Thank you in advance,
