This weeks community bird watch outing to Niquette Bay State Park provided
good opportunities to learn and listen to various calls and a few songs of
winter residents. We saw a male and female Downy Woodpecker and heard
them calling, numerous Black-capped Chickadees and their associated calls
and song, Blue Jays and their cries, a White-breasted Nuthatch provided us
with good looks and clear nasal 'yanks', Tufted Titmouse, and best of all,
great looks at two female Golden-crowned Kinglets. Thanks to those who
participated in this weeks walk.
For those who may be interested, next Saturday (Mar. 3) we will go to the
Milton Town Forest. Contact me off list if you would like to attend.
