For the last 2 months the squirrels have been feasting from new suet and
seed feeders, devising new acrobatics daily to empty them in record
time. By this morning they succeeded in knocking the sunflower feeder
right off the high hook and into the snow. Later in the day, against my
better judgment I went out to refill it only to find it gone; I finally
found it a good 30 feet away at the base of the spruce tree; I was only
sorry I didn't see how they managed to carry it that far--there weren't
any drag marks in the snow....Nancy Goodrich, Burlington
