We have several inches of snow, but sure enough, two robins showed up late this afternoon in Bakersfield. I was in the yard and saw them taking water from a small stream near the house.

Subject: [VTBIRD] Robins
Yesterday afternoon there was a small flock of about a dozen robins in our
hedgerow. I was alerted to their presence by what sounded suspiciously
like a robin singing. Do they sing at this time of year?
This morning at our suet feeder, I saw the Red-bellied Woodpecker again.
We also have a pair of Hairys (spelling??) and a pair of Downies, four
titmice, several W-b Nuthatches, House Finches, Gold Finches, Mourning
Doves, Blue Jays, chickadees, Tree Sparrows, House Sparrows, cardinals and
a number of rabbits, who hang out under the feeders at night.
A dozen starlings were eating berries off the ornamental trees outside
Friendly's on Route 7 in So. Burlington this morning.
