In Rutland Town 75 snow buntings were present at
a farm, concentrated in an area of spilled grain
(same spot as past two weeks).
Also in the area was a northern shrike and three
red-tailed hawks. Most peculiar was a Cooper's
hawk looking OUT the top wire-covered window of a
barn. We will check again tomorrow to be sure it
got out (the owner says it goes in there all the
time).
Later 44 cedar waxwings were seen on the College
of St. Joseph campus and five American black
ducks were seen in the Otter Creek.
