This workshop is designed for all local officials who are concerned about
the impact and opportunities presented by climate change, including town
managers, professional and volunteer planners, selectboard members, finance
directors, conservation commissioners, and local energy committees. Sessions
include: Impacts and Opportunities of Climate Change for Local Governments
(Richard Sedano, Director, Regulatory Assistance Project); Energy
Conservation in Municipal Facilities; Utilizing Local Energy Committees to
Accomplish Energy Conservation; Incorporating Energy Conservation into Land
Use Regulation; and an overview of eligibility requirements of the Clean
Energy Development Fund. There will also be three, brief presentations on
local projects: municipal street lighting, generating electricity from
wastewater treatment facilities, and alternative fuels for vehicles and
heating systems.

VLCT thanks the Vermont Department of Public Service for contributing to the
cost of this workshop. The DPS contribution allowed the regular registration
fee to be lowered by $15.

Directions to the Elks' Lodge: Take Exit 8 off Interstate 89. Exit ramp will
merge with Route 2. Follow Route 2; at junction with 302, stay left. Almost
immediately, turn left onto Country Club Drive (across from the Agway Home
and Garden Center).
