is pleased to collaborate with the Champlain 
Valley Educator Development Center to offer the 
Best Practices in Teaching Mathematics Institute 
for mathematics teachers grades K-12. This 
institute provides teachers with opportunities to 
experience and identify best practices in 
teaching mathematics – instructional practices 
identified by research that promote mathematical 
reasoning, discourse, inquiry, understanding and 
achievement by all students in all grades. The 
course will be held July 9-13, 2007 at the 
Winooski Middle School.  For more information and
