Hello,
Through emails and mailings from both myself and the Census Bureau, you
have probably heard about the Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA)
program in preparation for Census 2010. It is very important that
Vermont's local officials participate in this program. It is the most
effective way to make sure that the Census Bureau knows about all of the
housing units in your town, especially those built since 2000.
The next informational sessions on LUCA will be held this Tuesday at the
TOECs in Rutland, Thursday 4/26 again in Rutland at 10:30 AM, and then
in Morrisville on Thursday May 3 at 10:00 AM.
For more information on LUCA and upcoming informational sessions, please
go to our LUCA page at http://crs.uvm.edu/census/luca
I also suggest that you go to http://list.uvm.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=CENSUS2010
and sign up on our email list for LUCA and Census 2010.
Help make this the best Census possible for YOUR town!
If you are not the official responsible for this for your town, please
pass this message on to the right person.
Please send me any questions or comments.
Thank you,
Chip
