Is this a decision of the list management (which is who, exactly?) or simply
a strange and complicating coincidence?
This is probably a consequence of an update to the listserv software we run
... The announced feature was "new, improved, web experience" or something
like that. I'll check with the systems folks to see if there is something
like a database that needs to be resychronized or such ...
(I'm more or less the "list" bagholder, which means that once a month or so
I go to the reports and remove people whose email address no longer works or
are over quota (and who's email system didn't respond with the proper error
code -- 90% of the dead accounts are removed automatically if there are 4
days of successive errror messages ... )
