Contrary to what people have been reporting in Northern VT, I have been noticing large numbers of Bluebirds here in Southeastern Vermont. In fact, I have been noticing this larger than normal population since about February. Wherever there is somewhat suitable habitat I'm finding Bluebirds.
There have been a Bluebirds checking out boxes along river road in Putney, along bunker hill road in Putney, and along the median of I91 in Dummerston, just to name of few locations.
Strange that there are so many here in Windham County and so few in Northern VT. Any ideas as to why this would be?
