I've been watching this hunter discussion unfold today. Frankly,
I was enjoying it to a point, but it started to get a little personal
and uncivil this afternoon. I hope we've seen the end of it for now.
In either case, this is a reminder -- before you hit the "send" button
(anytime you are posting to the list) please take one moment to
consider what you are saying. Good questions to ask:
* Is the observation I am reporting worthy of note (will most
other folk be interested) or is it likely to be what everyone
else is seeing or would expect to see in my location?
* Do I need to reply to the sender only, or will everyone want
to hear my response?
* Am I feeling angry or agitated? If so, should I go distract myself
for a bit before I send my passionate response to the list?
I don't mean to be discouraging, but we had 36 messages yesterday
and we've already matched that number today (admittedly, I've contributed
to the onslaught). It's a busy time of year, so please be thoughtful about
your contributions.... and if what you wrote sounds at all insulting then
please put it in the trash bin where it belongs.
Thanks for your attention,
