Yet another fruitless search of the Bluebird Field for E. Bluebirds, now more than a month later to arrive than last year. But I did find a pair of A. Kestrels, probably the pair I saw on Sunday. They looked fat and prosperous, so I hope they are thinking of settling down here in what is an expansive habitat for them, and raising a family....
The first Tree Swallow to arrive was darting around, apparently alone. Then it landed. Atop a vacant bluebird box.
