For the second time in three years, I have Tufted Titmice attmpting to nest in one of my nest boxes. Their last attempt was thwarted I believe by aggressive House Wrens forcing them out. Here's hoping this pair are more successful.
Also, this afternoon, there were two Double Crested Cormorants on Otter Creek at Otter View Park in Middlebury, one showing tufts, the other not. And on the other side of the river there were a pair of Bufflehead taking advantage of the flooded banks to rest and feed.
