Popasquash Island, a couple miles north of Burton, has some Caspians.
Not a bad paddle if the weather is good.
Hike to the southern end of the island (you'll be looking south, toward
Ball Island) and you might see something of note, particularly if the
white perch are schooling up and chasing bait to the surface. The birds
- gulls, terns, herons - get pretty active.

Subject: [VTBIRD] birding advice for Burton Island
I'm going to be spending a few days camping up on Burton Island this
weekend. I've never been up there and I'm wondering if there is good
birding on the island or near the island? Is Missisquoi the best spot
up there for Caspian Tern?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
