Subject: Arterial Exams
This is in response to my earlier question. I fully understand the difference in
an arterial duplex and LPVR. My question is if a Dr. orders a complete duplex,
why would he order a full LPVR (these test were ordered at the same time)?
Would you not see what you need to see with a duplex? And of course a
duplex includes ABI, so again why a full LPVR. Also, does insurance reimburse
for both test?
