While we're on the subject of sighting locations... where at Dead Creek are
Black-crowned Night Herons seen? Is there a particular spot or just
anywhere in the evening hours?
So. Glens Falls, NY

Nice map Thomas - thanks a lot. I'm an old Dead Creek hand, but this
map would have been really useful 15 or 20 years ago when I first started
looking around the area.
Google Earth is so easy to use that maybe we should think about making
little maps of sighting spots when we see interesting birds. This might
help avoid the "look for a old dirt road on your left, and park 3.8 miles
later on your right, just past the dead tree" type instructions which we all
have put into our sighting reports at one time or another.
Seems like it might be helpful.
