We did Dead Creek and Gage Road this morning, hoping to bag a Vermont
Caspian Tern. No luck on the tern, and not much in the way of shorebirds
other than a flying flock of about 30 peeps - we wouldn't want to venture
which they were.
We did see at least six Kestrels and a big Red Tail on Gage Road, and an
Osprey perched on the osprey platform near the eagle hack boxes. We've seen
eagles, peregrines and red tails on this platform before, but I think that
this is the first time we've seen an actual Osprey on it.
Other good birds included two Green Herons, a Great Egret, and a whole
lot of GBH's.
