Creek/Brilyea list for this AM, I am posting my findings only at Stone
Dam and Slang Rd locations for this morning, Saturday, 8/25/07.
_Stone Dam (West Rd)_
18 Killdeer
1 Wilson's Snipe
4 G.B. Heron
1 Belted Kingfisher
15 Least sandpiper
2 Pectoral Sandpiper
5 Semipalmated Sandpiper
9 lesser yellowlegs
2 spotted sandpiper
_Slang Rd (wet area near the intersection with Panton Rd.)
(numbers approximate due to lots of activity!)

9 Great Egrets
~12 killdeer
~20 wood duck
~15 mallard
~2 pectoral sandpiper
~6 lesser yellowlegs
~8 greater yellowlegs
~5 short-billed dowitcher
1 stilt sandpiper
1 pied-billed grebe
1 grey catbird
1 harry woodpecker
1 downly woodpecker
3 common yellowthroats (all females)
2 belted kingfisher
another 50 or so unidentified peeps would pop up periodically but
invariably landed in the marsh grass and disappeared. I gotta get
better at IDing them in flight!
